Moderators help you keep your map running smoothly. You can give them specific permissions to delete posts, manage comments, handle places, or ban users without handing over full control of your map.
Add a moderator
- Open your map and tap Map details.
- Scroll to Moderators and tap it.
- Tap Add moderator. If you already have moderators, tap Add another moderator.
- A search screen opens. Browse people you follow and your followers, or use the search bar to find someone by username.
- Tap to select the person. Tap Assign permissions.
- On the Choose permissions screen, toggle on the permissions you want to give them.
- Tap Save.
The invitation appears in the Invitations tab with a Pending status. You can cancel it at any time before the person accepts.
Moderator permissions
Permissions are grouped into three categories. Each has a Select all toggle, or you can enable individual permissions.
- Map: Deleting posts, deleting comments, creating post types, editing post types.
- Users: Banning users from the map.
- Places: Adding places, editing places, removing places.
Edit a moderator's permissions
- Open Map details and tap Moderators.
- On the Moderators tab, tap the moderator you want to update. A checkmark appears.
- Tap Edit permissions, adjust the toggles, and tap Save.
