YouMap believes in privacy, and we empower our users to choose how they wish to create and share their content. Privacy settings let you control who can see your map and who can contribute to it. You can update these at any time from Map details.
How to update your privacy settings
- Open your map and tap Map Details
- Scroll down to Settings and tap Privacy settings to expand the section.
Choose who can see your map. Only one option can be active at a time.
- Public map: Everyone can find and see your map.
- Selected people: Only people you invite can see your map.
- Only me: Your map is private. Only you can see it.
These toggles control what others can do on your map. They apply when your map is Public or visible to Selected people.
- Allow posting: Let others add posts to your map.
- Allow posting with quick actions: Let others post using your map's quick action shortcuts. Turn this off to require contributors to use your full post type forms instead.
- Allow adding places: Let others suggest places on your map.
Changes take effect immediately. If you switch from Public to Only me, the map will no longer appear to followers.
