Your map's home view is the location and zoom level followers see when they first open it. Setting it well means your map opens in the right place, at the right scale, every time.
A map called "24 Hours in London" should open centered on London, zoomed in to the city level. A map tracking street art across multiple continents might be better left at a global view. The home view is your map's first impression.
Skip this step if your map covers a worldwide topic. A global default view works better than pinning it to one location.
