YouMap is a place to build and share maps of real places. Instead of posting into one big feed, people build maps. You follow the maps you like, and their posts come to you.
1. Maps
A map is a collection of places with a theme. Coffee spots in Lisbon. Street art in Berlin. One person’s love letter to Rome.
- Every map has a name, a cover, and a Map key that says what belongs on it
- Maps can be public or private
- Follow a map the same way you would follow a person anywhere else
2. Places and posts
Every pin on a map is a place. Posts are what people say about it.
- Places show up as pins on the map
- A post adds a photo, a note, or a rating to a place
- If a map allows contributions, you can post to it too
3. Your feed
Your Home feed gathers posts from every map you follow.
- New posts from your maps land here first
- Recommended maps help you find your next follow
- Your own maps live in the Map library
That is the whole idea. Find a few maps you like, follow them, and your feed does the rest.
