Your profile shows who you are on YouMap: your photo, username, bio, and a view of all your posts and maps. You can update your photo, name, bio, and preferences from the Edit profile screen.
Open Edit profile
Start by tapping your profile photo.
- iOS: Tap your profile photo in the bottom navigation bar, then tap Edit profile.
- Web: Tap your profile photo at the bottom of the sidebar, then tap the pencil icon next to your avatar.
Tap your current photo or avatar to upload your own image. Or scroll through the ready-made avatars below it and tap one to use it instead.
- Nickname: your username. Visible to other users on posts and your profile.
- Full name: your name and surname. Optional, but shown on your profile if added.
- Description: a short bio. Optional.
Tap Map Home View to set your default map location. This is the first location you see when you open the world map. Search for a location, position it, and tap Set as Home View.
Tap Your preferences to update your interest categories. These shape the map and post recommendations you see. Select at least 3 and tap Save.
Tap Save at the bottom on web. Tap the checkmark at the top on iOS.
What's on your profile
Your profile shows your photo, username, post count, follower count, and following count at the top, followed by your full name and bio.
Below your bio, two tabs let you browse your activity:
- Posts β all posts you've added across any map.
- YouMaps β all maps you've created.
Tap the share icon at the top right to share your profile. Tap the settings icon to open Settings.
