Creating a new post on YouMap Step 1: Locate the purple (+) button located on YouMap's app view and tap it. Step 2: Select the map you wish to post to as well as the location of you post. Move the “what’s going on” pin or use the search bar at the bottom to find the location you want to post to. If you don't know the map you want to post to yet that's fine, you can change it on the next screen. Step 3: Select “Select Location”. You will then be taken to a screen where you can create your post. By default, “New Post” will be highlighted, but if you select a map which already has post templates created, you will see them at the scroll bar at the top. Step 4: Select one of the content blocks at the bottom of the screen in the draggable drawer. There you will find the content blocks that you can add to your post, such as text, media, link, rating, date, and audio. Fill out the content blocks and click “Next”. Step 5: Preview your post before adding it to YouMap, and make any last minute changes before posting. When you are happy with the post, click “Post” and your content will be added to the network. Post templates are a great tool for making sure your map contains all the types of information you need. By including all the content blocks you need, you can ensure that your posts always have the right information and complement the structure of your content. Post templates can include photos, videos, and text, making your map more engaging and informative. Additionally, post templates can help add structure to your map, as they allow you to add specific and structured information to a map in an organized way.

Tips for quality posts:
👩🏫 Post to relevant maps – Is a cheap pizza place related to a dog map?
♻️ Follow the post flow – Try sharing all the information the map owner
asked for – a photo is not always worth a thousand words ;)
📍 Post to the correct location – it’s all about location, location, location!
📸 Use the “Add Media” button to add images and videos to your post, if
geo data is available from the photo you will have the option of auto filling
the location.
