Posts are how you add information and stories to a youmap. Every post is tied to a real-world place and appears on the YouMap world map as a mapmoji bubble, so anyone exploring the map can find it.
How to add a post
- Open the post panel.
- iOS: Tap the + button in the center of the bottom navigation bar.
- Web: Click the + button at the bottom right of the screen.
- Select which youmap to post to from the dropdown at the top. On web, you can search by map name.
- Choose a post type. Two options appear once a map is selected:
- Quick ways to post: tap Note, Photo, or Question for a quick post with basic fields.
- Legend: tap one of the map's custom post types.
- Fill in the form fields. These vary by post type.
- Add your post location. Tap Post location, then drop a pin on the map, search for a place, or tap Current location. Tap Select location to confirm.
- Tap Next to preview your post, then tap Add post.
Your post won't appear on the map without a location. Make sure to add one before tapping Next.
